Ncome Game Farm / Waterloo Farm

Description

Balele Hunting Wildlife Conservation

Ncome Game Farm lies in the Balelesberg Mountains, with the origin of the Blood (or Ncome) River on the farm itself.

It is the home base for Balele Wildlife Management Co.

This is an ideal farm for the novice or junior hunter, containing numerous species of game which are relatively approachable, which makes for rewarding hunting.

Topography & Vegetation

Balele Hunting Wildlife Conservation
The highest point  on Ncome Game Farm is 1 650m and the lowest around 1 400m, which makes the farm very mountainous, with undulating hills, interspersed with deep kloofs (steep valleys) and rocky slopes.

Access on the farm is primarily on foot; but numerous 4x4 tracks do provide relatively easy access for game recovery.

The vegetation is mainly open rocky grassland, with patches of both indigenous bush and wattle jungle.

Size

The property is made up of 4 adjoining farms, and covers an area of 930 ha (2 300 acres).  The farms are all game fenced as a single unit.

Accommodation

Balele Hunting Wildlife Conservation
Two stone cottages overlook the Bloodriver and the trout dams on the farm, each with two bedrooms, an open plan lounge and kitchen, both with a full bathroom.

The veranda outside each cottage has a braai (barbecue) area which can be semi enclosed.

A cosy fire place inside each cottage finishes off the atmosphere, making the coldest of nights a thing to enjoy.

The units are fully serviced and fully equipped. Catering is available upon request (but is included for international hunters).
